2. About Pesa Radar
Pesa Radar is an Android app that reads M-PESA and bank SMS alerts on your phone and organises them into groups, trends and insights to help you understand your money. It is a read-only tool. It cannot send, receive or approve payments, and it will never ask for your M-PESA PIN or banking passwords.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to use Pesa Radar. The app is designed for use in Kenya on Android devices.
4. SMS permission
Pesa Radar needs your permission to read SMS messages. You can withdraw it at any time in Android Settings → Apps → Pesa Radar → Permissions, but the app won't be able to detect transactions without it. By granting it, you confirm that the messages on the phone are yours to use in this way.
5. Accounts and cloud backup
Cloud backup is optional and needs an account. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details confidential and for activity under your account. Please tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access. Backups are provided for convenience: keep your own copies of anything important, as we cannot guarantee that a backup will always be available or restorable.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the app for any unlawful purpose;
- reverse-engineer, decompile or tamper with the app;
- interfere with or disrupt our services or other users;
- use automated means to access our services without our written permission;
- use the app to read the messages or financial information of another person without their consent.
7. Accuracy of information
Pesa Radar interprets SMS messages using patterns for each supported sender. Message formats can change without notice, and some messages are incomplete, so amounts, names, groups and insights may occasionally be missing or wrong. The app is not an official record. For official figures, always rely on your M-PESA statement or your bank.
8. Pricing
Pesa Radar is free to download. If we introduce paid features in the future, the price and what's included will be shown clearly before you pay, and payments will be handled through Google Play under its terms and refund policies.
9. Intellectual property
The Pesa Radar name, logo, app, and all related content and code belong to Frankline Sable (HiveSable) and its licensors. You may not copy, modify or distribute any part of the service without our written consent.
10. Third-party names
Pesa Radar is independent. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Safaricom, M-PESA or any bank. Those names are trademarks of their owners and are used only to describe the messages the app can read.
11. Termination
We may suspend or end your access if you breach these Terms. You can stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it, and you can delete your account as described in the Privacy Policy.
12. Disclaimer
Pesa Radar provides information to help you understand your money. It is not a bank, a licensed financial adviser or an investment service, and it does not give financial advice. The app and its insights are provided "as is" without any guarantee of accuracy or availability. Use your own judgement for financial decisions.
13. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, Pesa Radar and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of the app, including decisions made on the basis of the information it shows or loss of data.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If you keep using the app after the changes take effect, you accept the updated Terms. We'll tell you in the app about significant changes.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Kenya. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Kenya.
